Robin graduated as a physiotherapist from Sydney University in 1985, embarking on an infinite “learning journey”, aiming always to alchemize her knowledge and skill base into effective outcomes for her patients. Never shy to be out of her comfort zone in order to learn, she has worked with leading sports physicians, orthopaedic surgeons and various types of expert therapists around the world.

In 1988 Robin commenced private practice with the RAAF. During this time she became interested in lumbo-pelvic mechanics, with her clinical focus shifting heavily to track and field athletes, leg injuries and low back pain. She has extensive postgraduate training in these areas and has been involved with several international sporting teams, particularly in relation to speed athletes. She has been involved with the management of novice to elite level runners and track & field athletes for many years.

In 1996 Robin moved to Hong Kong and established SportsphysioHK, a very successful private practice in the Hong Kong CBD. This clinic was part of the umbrella company Hong Kong Surgical Specialists, which she co-directed with 5 surgeons. This was a sports, spinal, surgical orthopaedic and women’s health clinic. Robin is fascinated by Japanese martial arts and whilst in Asia was lucky to work closely with internationally known screen martial artists.

Over the last 15 years she has developed a special interest in the pelvic floor particularly management of incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse and intra-pelvic pain. She gained post- graduate qualifications in pelvic floor rehabilitation from Melbourne University in 2000. Robin is also a Barefoot Training Specialist and a Level 2 Institute of Motion Coach.

Clinically she manages all conditions but has a special focus on low back and pelvic pain, chronic spinal pain, respiratory disease and pelvic floor dysfunction. She still enjoys gait analysis and managing running type issues.

Teaching is a passion and she runs courses for patients and health/fitness professionals around the world.

In her spare time she is the empty nest mother of Imogen and the unpaid farmhand for husband Mike on their rural property in Yandina Creek.

From the time Jenita was very young, she has led an active, physical life. Her life's journey - from Irish dancer and teacher of Irish dance, to fitness instructor, to massage therapist, to Qigong practitioner and instructor - has been to explore the magic of the human body. The rhythm, the power, the co-ordination, stamina, skill, passion, focus and grace of the human body and mind perfectly meshed.

To complement her passion for the physical, she has studied and followed alternative health practices and philosophies for more than 20 years.

She is uniquely equipped to help others master their mind and body and to help them lead a meaningful, low stress life where they are comfortable in their own skin.

She does this through teaching simple Qigong movements and processes. She uses Qigong to achieve unity through tuning and training the mind with structured body movements.

Sharing this unique therapy, she now travels teaching others the form and philosophy of Qi life which incorporates ancient techniques designed in the Yuan Gong. The unique qualities of Qi life include improved health, behaviour and consciousness.

Amie is a Registered Yoga Therapist (AAYT) and has been studying the therapeutic application of Yoga since 2005. After passionately undertaking a regular practice of Yoga in 2003 she started to experience Sacroiliac Pain (SI pain). It was this experience that lead her to study more of the bio mechanics required to practice the Yoga poses without pain or strain. Having a passion for science since her university days in Australia Amie enthusiastically pursued her studies in Yoga Therapy and has never looked back.

Today Amie’s unique and integrated approach to the ancient teachings of Yoga and the science of human movement helps athletes, cancer survivors, chronic pain suffers and anyone that hopes to get more out of their lives with less pain and tension.

Amie believes there is truth in movement (TM) and that while the mind plays many tricks on us, the body never lies.

Amie’s approach includes movement assessment and the designing of personal programs that are conducive to relaxation, healing and support functional movement patterns. She has taught Therapeutic Yoga workshops, classes and private Yoga Therapy in Mexico, Australia and Canada and can always be convinced to do more.
